1. Tutco designed these type heaters as per the requirement of the customer, many standard products are ready for use.

 

2. Working Condition

The heater should be used in the condition of forced ventilation. In the normal working condition air flow through the heaters is less than 3m/s; otherwise it will seriously affect the life of the product.

 

3.1 Rated Power:

AC115V/1200W,Tolerance +5%/ -10%.

Allow the element in the rated power and normal working conditions or simulated conditions, when the input power is stable, the number measured by the power meter should be in the above mentioned power range(less than 0.1 meter accuracy)

 

3.2 CURRENT LEAKAGE:

Leakage, at rated voltage, between the frame, isolated from ground, and the supply terminals shall not exceed 0.5 milliamps after exposure to 29 to 32℃ at 85-90% relative humidity for 24 hours and while still under these conditions.

 

3.3 DIELECTRIC BREAKDOWN:

The open coil element must withstand 1000 VAC plus twice rated voltage applied between current carrying parts and dead metal for one minute,

 

3.4 INSULATION RESISTANCE

3.4.1 At 32±2°C & 70±5%RH, the insulating resistance value between current-carrying parts and interconnected non-current-carrying metal parts should be more than 100 MΩ.

 

3.4.2 Switch off the heater after 10 minutes of heating same as when measuring the power rating. At this point the insulating resistance value when checking the resistance value should be immediately 1MΩ and be 10 MΩ after 10 minutes.

 

3.5 Thermostat & Fuse

Thermostat temperature : Open 40±5℃(104±9F),Reset 28.8±5℃(84±9F)

Fuse temperature: Open 104 +0/-5 ℃.

 

3.6 CONSTRUCTION:

3.6.1 Components must be free of harmful contaminants, and must have no sharp corner and sharp edge.

 

3.6.2 Parts shall be made of corrosion resistant materials or treated to resist corrosion.

 

3.6.3 Components must be fixed, can be able to withstand the pull force between the connect wire and terminal at 50N or above.

 

3.6.4 Mica support must be no cracking.

 

3.6.5 Each heater shall be permanently marked with the manufacturer‘s name ,part number and manufacture date code.

 

3.7 Cold resistance

At room temperature, the measured resistance between two terminals of the heater should be in 10.38Ω±5%.

 

3.8 high temperature and low temperature shock

Put the product in -20℃±2℃ & 1H, then 120℃±2℃&1H as a cycle for totally 5 cycles. The product must to meet the requirements of 3.3,3.4.

 

3.9 Salt-fog test

Per ASTM B117, after 96H, the products haven’t red rust.

 

3.10 ENDURANCE:

Heating elements shall perform their designed function during normal life testing with the following minimum reliability. There shall be no failures allowed during 3750 hours.
